Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics 2013 Public Policy Workshop: March 10, 2013
Attending the 2013 Public Policy Workshop in Washington, DC was quite an experience for me. I was able to attend several sessions focusing on topics such as developing influential messages, sequestration, the Older Americans Act, Affordable Care Act, food industry and etc. Along with being able to attend the workshop, I had an opportunity to work at the Nutrition Informatics Genius Bar during the networking session. With over 400 Registered Dietitians in attendance, I was able to provide several technology tool presentations on Weebly, Dropbox and Eyejot. For each technology tool, I provided information on how nutrition professionals can use these tools in their practice.
